Sermon Series:
Breaking Free: When God Makes A Way
Micah 2:13 (AMP) introduces the Messiah, Jesus, as "The Breaker", the one who goes before us, opens the way, and leads us to freedom. In a world full of spiritual, emotional, and physical chains, breakthrough represents God’s divine intervention—when His power and grace break through the barriers that hold us back from progress, growth, or deliverance. Just like a prisoner waiting for release, we are often bound by unseen forces that seek to control us, but through Jesus, the Breaker, we find liberation.
While many of us may claim to be free, true freedom comes only through a heart transformed by Jesus. The Pharisees honored God with their lips but their hearts were far from Him. Jesus calls us to examine our hearts—are we living in true freedom or still imprisoned by our own traditions, beliefs, and the lies we tell ourselves?
As Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, we must guard our hearts, for from it flow the springs of life. Only by surrendering to Christ’s liberating power can we truly experience the freedom He offers. Breakthrough is not just a moment; it’s a lifelong journey of heart transformation, freedom from fear, and living in obedience to God’s will. Choose today to follow the Breaker, and experience the liberation He has in store.
